NXT wrestler appears at WWE SmackDown tapings

Nikki Cross made her televised main roster debut at today’s SmackDown tapings in Manchester, England.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch cut a promo at today’s tapings where she responded to Ronda Rousey’s comments from Raw. The segment led to Lynch issuing a challenge, which was answered by Cross. Cross came out with the rest of SAnitY and spoke on the microphone in the ring, telling Lynch “let’s play.”

Lynch defeated Cross with the Dis-Arm-Her.

Whether or not this will be Cross’ permanent call-up remains to be seen. She’s been feuding with Bianca Belair in NXT and has been involved in the “who attacked Aleister Black?” angle, with Johnny Gargano indicated as being Black’s attacker.

Without Cross, SAnitY (Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, and Killian Dain) were called up to the main roster in April’s Superstar Shakeup. Though she made her main roster TV debut at today’s tapings, Cross has wrestled at several SmackDown house shows this year.
