Oba Femi is confident that a match between him and Brock Lesnar will happen at some point soon.

Ever since it was announced that Lesnar would be holding an open challenge at WrestleMania 42, there have been fans calling for Femi to be his opponent. The former NXT Champion spoke to TV Insider about Lesnar and said it would be “really cool” to face off against him.

“What a run for him. He had two separate runs, and they’ve both been fantastic. It would be really cool to face him,” Femi said. “I know the fans have been asking for that match. It’s going to happen one day soon. What a run he has had the UFC champion, multiple time WWE champion, Royal Rumble winner, dominance. What a way to cap it off by facing ‘The Ruler.'”

Femi and Lesnar did have a face-off in the 2026 Royal Rumble, which Femi described as being a teaser to see how fans would react.

The identity of Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent has not been announced yet. On the road to WrestleMania, Lesnar has been confirmed for five upcoming episodes of Raw. The most recent of those is in San Antonio on March 16.

A match between Femi and Rusev is going down on tonight’s Raw. In the interview with TV Insider, Femi was asked how he’s been adjusting since being called up from NXT to the main roster.

“There is a lot more traveling on the main roster. A way bigger audience and platform,” he said. “I’m glad that everything I was able to do over at NXT happened. I was able to translate to the main roster effortlessly, seamlessly. The crowd has been behind me. They know my schtick. They know what I do. ‘The Ruler’ is here to stay on the main roster.”
