WWE star Omos reveals his wrestling mentors
WWE star Omos feels fortunate to have had so many great mentors in his wrestling career.
In a new interview with social media creator NarcolepsyBoy94, Omos named AJ Styles, The Undertaker, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Mark Henry, and Kevin Nash as some of his friends who have helped him out by giving him advice in wrestling. The late Scott Hall was also a big supporter of Omos who would reach out to him all the time.
“Oh man, AJ Styles, Undertaker,” Omos responded when asked who is in his inner circle. “MVP, because when we were together on the road, we got really close. Because we did a lot of drives together. I’m talking about two, three-hour drives where we would just talk about everything. Shelton Benjamin. Yeah, I would say those are like — when it comes to wrestling-wise — those are like the four people.
“Mark Henry. Whenever I need, I can call Mark Henry. I can always give him a call. He’s always there for me. Freaking Kevin Nash, he as well. When Scott Hall was alive, he used to call me all the time and, you know, tell me I was doing a good job and keep on doing a good job. He produced my first-ever wrestling match that I ever had, Scott Hall.”
Hall produced that match when he was visiting the Performance Center and Omos was new to NXT live events.
Whenever Omos has needed advice on things like being a married man in the business, juggling work-life balance, or even questions about his gear, these are some of the people he’s reached out to for help. He’s grateful for their encouragement since not everyone in wrestling has this kind of support system.
Omos recently signed a new WWE contract that will keep him with the company for years to come. He has not been featured on WWE for quite some time, most recently competing in a WWE ring in April 2024. He did have an excursion to Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH at the start of 2025 and wrestled as a surprise battle royal entrant at AAA Triplemania in August.
