Opening segment for WWE Raw announced
John Cena will kick off WWE Raw tonight.
General Manager Adam Pearce announced the news in a social media post on Monday afternoon, reminding everyone that Raw begins an hour earlier this week, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern time.
“I can confirm kicking off the broadcast tonight, the one and only, the Never Seen 17, John Cena,” Pearce says in the video.
Tonight’s Raw takes place at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. Cena attended nearby Springfield College and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2015. His page on the school’s HOF website is available here.
Tonight’s show is also the go-home Raw before Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza, where Cena is scheduled to wrestle Brock Lesnar.
