Pat McAfee announces title and release date for debut album
Pat McAfee has announced the title and release date of his debut album.
McAfee revealed in December that he was working on an album after releasing his first single, a country-rock song titled “Dookie.”
On Wednesday, he announced that the album will be titled The Diary of a Polarizing Figure. The album consists of 12 songs and will be released on August 14.
The album was recorded in Nashville with help from ERNEST and other artists. ERNEST and McAfee were introduced through another WWE celebrity, Jelly Roll. McAfee has said that the album features verses, choruses and lyrics that he has been working on for more than 20 years.

McAfee wrote about the album:
“For as long as I can remember my mere existence has made people hate my guts.. literally since elementary school. Teachers, administrators, other parents, you name it.. I didn’t understand it as a child but throughout my life I’ve come to realize that this is just how it’s gonna be.
I’ve been writing songs about it all for 20yrs. It’s time to let them aht.. There’s A LOT of headlines & narratives about me.. if I was to die, I’d like my kids to know exactly who and what their dad is.
