Penta names WWE dream opponents: John Cena, Finn Balor, more

Now that he’s in WWE, Penta has a list of opponents he’s looking forward to facing.

Penta told Insight with Chris Van Vliet that John Cena, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Finn Balor are some of his dream opponents in WWE. He’d like to wrestle CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Jacob Fatu again as well after previously facing them in AEW or on the indies.

“I have a few names, but the truth is, no matter who is in the ring, no matter what he won, I want to win everything in WWE. John Cena, Punk, Cody, Seth Rollins, The Tribal Chief [Roman Reigns], [Jacob] Fatu,” Penta said. “A lot of wrestlers I want for Penta. Because for example with CM Punk I had one match, he won, I need revenge. The rematch with him — with Cody too. But for me, a special dream match is Penta vs. John Cena or Penta vs. Finn Balor.”

Penta agreed with Van Vliet that Rey Mysterio and Bron Breakker would also be good opponents. Breakker is the current Intercontinental Champion, and WWE has teased Penta as a potential challenger.

Last weekend, Mysterio and Penta were the first two entrants in the men’s Royal Rumble match. Penta made it more than 40 minutes before being eliminated by Balor.

Since debuting for WWE last month, Penta has gotten victories over Chad Gable, Pete Dunne, and Ludwig Kaiser.
