Penta reacts to Paul Heyman praise: ‘I feel so proud’

Penta

Having Paul Heyman think so highly of him is a huge honor for Penta.

On the second season of “WWE: Unreal,” there was a clip where Heyman spoke to the writers’ room about how special of a performer Penta is. Heyman pointed out that Penta wasn’t only getting a pop when he made his entrance — the fans cared about him throughout the match and stayed invested when he was selling and making a comeback.

The Sportster spoke with Penta at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest recently and asked what it felt like to hear that praise from Heyman.

“Bro, to be honest with you, Paul Heyman means everything about this sport. He knows everything you need to become a big star and everything,” Penta responded. “So I say ‘thank you’ for the speech about Penta. I feel so proud about me. I feel so proud about all my people, all my fans. And I start work, man. I keep going hard at work.”

After debuting for WWE in January 2025, Penta has now been with the company for more than a year. He defeated El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) in a number one contender’s match on Raw this week and will now challenge Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental title next Monday (March 2). If Penta wins, it will be the first title he’s held in WWE.
