Potential new addition to WWE Clash in Paris card

Sunday’s WWE Clash in Paris card could potentially have another match added.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE has talked about adding Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre to the Clash in Paris lineup. This would be the sixth match set for the PLE if the addition is confirmed.

“There’s at least a solid chance that they’re going to add Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre to the pay-per-view on Sunday,” Meltzer said. “It’s not 100 percent, but it was something that’s been talked about.”

Meltzer said that, if Orton vs. McIntyre doesn’t take place at Clash in Paris, it will still happen somewhere else before WWE has McIntyre challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.

“They’re going to do the Orton match before they do the Cody match,” Meltzer said.

Rivals Orton and McIntyre are coming off an angle last week where Orton blindsided McIntyre with an RKO.

WWE will be in Lyon, France for SmackDown this Friday before Paris hosts Sunday’s PLE. The PLE has a start time of 2 p.m. Eastern time streaming live on Peacock in the United States and Netflix internationally.

The following matches have been confirmed so far:

WWE Clash in Paris (Sunday, August 31) —

  • John Cena vs. Logan Paul
  • Fatal four-way match: World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defends against CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso
  • Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed
  • Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch defends against Nikki Bella
  • Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match: Sheamus vs. Rusev
