Report: Powerhouse Hobbs believed to have signed with WWE

Powerhouse Hobbs

Following his AEW World Trios championship loss at Collision Maximum Carnage, Powerhouse Hobbs was speculated to be headed toward WWE, and now, according to recent reports, he is believed to have signed there.

A new report from Fightful Select noted that sources close to Sean Ross Sapp claimed that people in WWE believe that Hobbs has signed with the Stamford-based promotion. Although there is currently no clear confirmation about the signing.

While Hobbs has not yet been backstage in WWE, the company has been interested in securing him for several years. Reportedly looking to make a move in recent weeks, he had also been in negotiations with AEW. Sources close to Fightful Select noted that while he is expected to be present during the Royal Rumble weekend, they could not confirm the plans.

WWE Royal Rumble is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 31st, 2026.
