Report: The Righteous finishing independent dates amid WWE interest

The Righteous could be heading to WWE.

Fightful Select is reporting that Vinny and Dutch have informed some promoters that they are finishing their independent dates in the coming months. The report says according to WWE, the company has interest in them and are likely to be signed.

It was reported back in 2022 that the duo were taking part in a tryout for WWE with other independent wrestlers. However, they were never signed, and instead signed with AEW in 2023. They became associated with Jake Roberts and mostly wrestled on Collision and Ring of Honor events. Their profiles were removed from AEW’s website in May, with reports confirming that they had left the company. Their last notable match was at last year’s Final Battle, where they lost to Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara in a double bullrope match.

The Righteous were formed in Ring of Honor prior to Tony Khan purchasing the promotion. During their time in the company, they held the ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles along with Bateman. They also had a brief run in Impact Wrestling.
