Report: WWE’s relationship with Tony Hinchcliffe expected to continue
WWE is now planning on continuing its working relationship with stand-up comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, according to a new report from Fightful Select.
Despite this year’s cancelation of the planned WWE SummerSlam Late Night show with Hinchcliffe, the promotion is looking ahead to taking its partnership forward. As per the Fightful Select’s WWE sources, the relationship between the two sides is fine. The topic emerged after Hinchcliffe made multiple appearances tied to WWE.
The sources further noted that WWE expects to work with Hinchcliffe again, although the specifics for it are currently unknown, but it is expected to be a similar late-night program.
Earlier this year, following WrestleMania 41, WWE hosted the controversial Roast of WrestleMania in April. Its popularity led to the announcement of the SummerSlam Late Night show, which was later canceled a week before its scheduled date in July.
Hinchcliffe is a professional wrestling fan and has openly spoken about his love for the sport, even during his recent appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast.
