It’s a hot night where I am and once can only assume it is in Mexico. Hot with AAA Lucha Libre action that is! Three big matches are on tap tonight including the renewal of the blood feud between El Fiscal and Abismo Negro. But first:
AAA GM & WWE HoF’ER Rey Mysterio Jr made his way to the ring, mic in hand. Normally, Rey provides the translation for segments in Spanish, but this time it was straight subtitles. Rey said that the AAA Vision is bigger than ever and Rey want’s AAA to be the place for the biggest stars in the world.
Rey then introduced one of the “biggest latinos in the world” (which I honestly took to mean he was just really tall) former WWE World Champion Damian Priest. Priest arrived to his Punishment music and took the mic.
Priest introduced himself to the crowd, listing his accomplishments. He said he’s beaten the best around the world, but not in AAA yet. He is here to dominate AAA and everyone will fall before him. Especially the champions. He closed by saying the “Champ” has arrived in AAA.
AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer vs. Lady Shani
This is a non title match, though Shani has held the AAA Reina de Reinas title on two separate occasions.
Shani started the match with an arm drag and then another takedown. That seemed to take Flammer by surprise as did when Shani dropped into a facelock off of a whip into the ropes. Shani hit an around the world takedown and Flammer seemed completely flummoxed.
Flamer adjusted to the slower pace and sent Shani into the corner for some kicks and stomps. Flammer started messing with Shani’s mask which let her sneak in a cover for a two count. Flammer hit a spinebuster, then pulled some hair before a big running clothesline.
They started exchanging chops and Flammer got Shani up on her shoulders. Shani countered and Flammer drove her into the corner for kicks. She went for a hip attack, but Shani was waiting and sent her face first into the turnbuckle, then kicked her in the head so hard her mask spun around.
Shani countered a hold into a body scissor and sleeper hold for good measure. Flammer tried to roll out of it, but Shani just kept on rolling and ended up with a two count. Flammer went for a sunset flop, but Shani counterd it into a pin attempt for two.
Flammer picked her up and dropped her in a sit out pile driver, but Shani kicked out. Flammer went to the outside and grabbed the title belt. Then La Catalina showed up and pulled it out of her hands. That let Shani hit a backstabber in the ring followed by and Iconoclasm from the top turn buckle. Shani quickly made the cover and won the match.
Match Result: Lady Shani defeated Flammer
-A recap package showed Perros Del Mal attacking El Grande Americano and then the man himself showed up in a pretaped package to warn all five of them that he will be there next week and if they have the guts to show up, El Grande Americano will deal with them.
La Parka & Mr. Iguana vs. Dinamico & Drago vs. Money Machine (Colmillo De Plata & Garra De Oro)
I’ll just come right out and say it: if anyone other than La Parka and Mr Iguana (Or Laguana as I’m calling them in my head) wins this match we riot and I think that the crowd agrees with me.
Iguana and Plata started things off and Plata offered Iguana a stack of cash for La Yesca. Iguana let him think he had the advantage then took Plata down. Drago made a blind tag and Plata just couldn’t get ahold of him. Oro came in to help and caught Drago with a dropkick.
Dinamico tagged in and took Plata out with a dropkick and then swept Oro’s legs out from underneath him. Dinamico hit a frog splash, but La Parka had gotten a bind tag and gave Dinamico a back breaker followed by a German Suplex.
Money Machine made a blind tag and double teamed La Parka with a crossbody from Oro. Plata went to knock Iguana off the apron, but he missed it. Drago leapt from the top rope onto Money Machine on the outside, while Iguana delivered an Iguanarana to Dinamico in the ring.
Drago hit a crossbody on Iguana then went up top again, but Money Machine shook the ropes to bring him down. Dinamico dumped Plata to the outside and then leapt on he and Oro from the top rope. La Parka tagged in and Drago spiked him with a DDT.
He went up for a frog splash, but La Parka caught him with a cutter then a Bonebreaker to get the pin and the win.
Match Result: La Parka & Mr. Iguana defeated Dinamico & Drago and Money Machine
After the match La Parka and Iguana danced in the ring with a couple of kids who were cosplaying them.
-Back from Break, Rey Mysterio held his now weekly “press” conference and talked about how excited he was now that Damian Priest is in AAA. He was asked what he thought about Perros Del Mal being confronted by El Grande Americano next week and Rey said that with that, Priest and Dominick Mysterio scheduled for next week, things will get hot.
El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro Jr.
The feud between El Fiscal and Abismo Negro Jr. in Lucha Libre AAA is a bitter generational dispute. El Fiscal, biological son of the original Abismo Negro, initially joined his father’s faction, Los Vipers, but the two now violently clash over the legitimate rights to the Abismo Negro legacy. I LOVE LUCHA LIBRE!
The bell hadn’t even rang and they started swinging. These two know each other well, so there was no need for a feeling out process. Fiscal hit a backstabber and grabbed a cover for two. Abismo countered a suplex and dropped Fiscal on his head.
They started throwing hands with Abismo clocking Fiscal with a series of rights. He went for a gorilla press, but Fiscal countered it and shoved Abismo to the outside where he dove on him. Abismo sent Fiscal into the ring post face first and then chopped him around the barricades.
Abismo scoop slammed Fiscal on the outside then went to drop and elbow from the steps. Fiscal moved out of the way though and Abismo got nothing but floor. Fiscal tossed him back into the ring and went for a frog splash. Abismo moved though and Fiscal rolled through.
They caught each other with a double clothesline and just then Karmen Petrovic came sauntering down the ramp. The rest of Perros Del Mal flooded the ring and Abismo balied from the ring as the match was declared a No Contest.
Match Result: El Fiscal vs. Abismo Negro Jr. went to a No Contest
Perros Del Mal viciously beat up El Fiscal, sending a message to all of AAA as the show closed.
