**************

And now that Roman Reigns has finished posing with the NBA Trophy, we head down to Mexico for some AAA Lucha Libre action!

The show started with GM Rey Mysterio headed to the ring carrying a mic and a clipboard. Savio Vega filled in for him on commentary and translation.

Rey said that there were two issues that neede addressing. The first involved Andrea Bazarte, the girlfriend of El Grande Americano, who was unjustly fired during the build to Mask-vs-Mask. Rey invited her to the ring, apologized for what happened and re-hired her, with a raise. She gladly accepted the new contract and they hugged.

Next, Rey turned his attention to the Latin American Championship, recently vacated by the injured El Hijo de Vikingo. Rey announced that over the next few weeks, there will be a series of triple threat matches, with the winners advancing to a a fatal four way for the title at Triplemaina. The matches are:

La Parka vs Mecha Wolf vs Dragon Lee

El Fiscal vs Cruz Del Toro vs Psycho Clown

Omos vs Damian Priest vs Galeno

And the first match of the tournament starts tonight and right now!

AAA Latin American Championship Number One Contenders Match: El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr vs. Abismo Negro Jr. vs. Texano Jr

Wagner and Texano sent Negro to the outside right away and ran through a technical display before showing each other respect. Negro used that to jump them both, sending Wagner to the outside and pinning Texano, but got caught using his feet on the ropes for leverage.

Wagner came back in and Negro tried to take his mask off. Texano sent him to the outside and Wagner threw a bunch of superkicks to send him out as well. Wagner walked the top rope and moonsaulted onto Texan and Negro on the outside.

Wagner threw Negro back in and went for a cover, but Negro kicked out at two. Wagner threw a discus elbow and then hit a driver for a pin, but Texano broke up the cover. He sent Wagner to the corner and crushed him with elbows.

Texano landed a backbreaker and went for the cover, but Negro broke up the pin. Negro and Texano started chopping each other, which was kind of unfair since Negro had a shirt. Negro hit a back suplex, but Wagner broke up the cover with an axe handle.

Negro set up Wagner for a Tombstone Piledriver, but Texano made the save. Wagner went to the outside and Texano set up Negro on the top turnbuckle. Negro fought him off but Texano took off his elbow pad and delivered it raw to Negro’s face.

Texano hit a superplex, but Wagner flew in out of nowhere and made a cover on Negro. Texano broke it up at two. Wagner sent Texano to the outside and Negro rolled up Wagner, but wasn’t able to get a cover. Negro went for the eyes, but the ref waved him off.

Negro pulled some brass knuckles out of his trunks and smashed Texano with them. Wagner grabbed him and nailed him with a Wagner driver to get the pin and advance to Triplemania.

Match Result: El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr defeated Abismo Negro Jr. and Texano Jr

-Backstage La Hiedra and Laredo Kid approached Lola Vice and Mr Iguana. They promised to win their match tonight and become #1 Contenders for their Mixed Tag Titles.

-Back from break, a mysterious someone was watching the Psycho Circus, reminding us that Psycho is next…

#1 Contender’s Match for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team titles: La Hiedra & Laredo Kid vs. Joaquin Wilde & Faby Apache

Current Mixed Tag Champions Lola Vice and Mr Iguana came down to ringside to observe who they’d be defending their titles against.

Wilde and Lee started things off, running through some fast moves and switches to set the tone. Wild caught Laredo with an arm drag and sent him out of the ring, bringing in Hiedra. Apache jumped her right away, sending her to the mat and into the corner for some flailinf punches.

Heidra turned the tables though with some strikes, but Apache rolled her through into an ankle lock. Wilde ran in and put Laredo into an STF. Apache transitioned into one too, but neither Hiedra or Laredo tapped out.

Heidra and Apache fought on the outside, with Hiedra sending Apache into the steel steps. She got back in the ring and started mugging for the crowd, letting Apache scramble in and roll her up for a two count.

The men took over with Wilde spiking Laredo with a DDT. Laredo wasn’t done though and sent Wilde to the corner for some hard strikes. Wilde came back with a kick, but Laredo caught him off the ropes with a face slam and then some strikes.

Laredo hit a brainbuster on Wilde, but only got a two count. Wilde came up swinging and went to go off the ropes, but Hiedra pulled them down and he tumbled to the outside. Laredo followed and jawed at Vice and Iguana before getting back into the ring for a powerslam.

Laredo hit a second rope twisting moonsault that was so nice, he tried it again. This time Wilde dodged it and got a tag to Apache. Hiedra ran in and Apache threw kicks at her before landing a missile dropkick from the top rope.

Wilde hit a headscissor from the top turnbuckle, sending Laredo to the outside and the Apache hit a summersault senton. Back in the ring, Apache hit a crossbody on Hiedra, but she kicked out at two.

Apache went for a full Nelson, but Hiedra elbowed out of it and tagged in Laredo. Wilde came in and nailed him with a facebuster. The two got to their feet and threw strikes until Laredo laid Wilde out with a superkick.

Laredo hit a DDT on Wilde then sent him to the outside for a dive. Hiedra tagged in to take a backslide from Apache for two. Laredo tried to grab Apache’s leg from the outside which opened her up to a stunner from Hiedra. She quickly made the cover and got the pin to make her and Wilde the #1 Contenders to the AAA Mixed Tag Titles.

Match Result: La Hiedra & Laredo Kid defeated Joaquin Wilde & Faby Apache

The scene switched to a quick recap of El Grande Americano working with AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio (and los Americanos) to deal with Perros Del Mal, before they go one-on-one at Triplemania.

-Back from break, GM Rey held a “press conference” to confirm the matches for Verano de Escandalo 2026. They are:

Rey Fénix (c) vs. Mini Vikingo for the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship
Lady Flammer (c) vs. La Catalina vs. Lady Shani in a Triple threat match for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship
Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana (c) vs. La Hiedra and Laredo Kid for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship
Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano vs. Los Perros del Mal (Angel, Berto, Bronco Nima, and/or Daga) (with Karmen Petrovic)

Rey then sent best wished to Octagon Jr whyo is injured. He also encouraged people to get their tickets for Triplemania as they are going fast.

Then, Perros Del Mal came down to the ring. A mic was produced and the Perro who has longish hair and a little moustache (no one said his name) talked about why the Perros del Mal were not born to be at war with Mexico, they were born because this business is becoming weak. Perros Del Mal are here to remind everyone how to fight.

He then introduced Angel and Berto as well as Bronco Nima. Karmen Petrovic stepped forward and was introduced and then the speaker also did not say his name (I looked it up, it’s Daga.)

Daga called out Dominick Mysterio and said that they accept the challenge to face Mysterio and Americano. But remember, God forgives, Perros don’t.

Then AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mystero stepped out. He waved in El Grande Americano and they marched to the ring. Rayo and Bravo appeared on the other side of the ring and everyone got inside and started brawling with the show ending on that.
