Rey Mysterio announced for Lucha Libre AAA event

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is set to appear at an upcoming Lucha Libre AAA event.

AAA has announced that Mysterio will be at the promotion’s television taping in Puebla, Mexico on Friday, November 28. He’s billed as a “special guest” for the show, with no other details announced regarding what Mysterio will be doing. His son Dominik Mysterio is the current AAA Mega Champion.

Mysterio has made multiple AAA appearances since WWE acquired the promotion — and he’s excited about the possibility of returning to the AAA ring at some point. In addition to this appearance, he’s been announced for AAA Guerra de Titanes 2025 on December 20.

Back in April, Mysterio suffered a torn groin that forced him to miss WrestleMania 41. The injury kept Mysterio sidelined for months until he returned on the November 3 episode of Raw for a confrontation with Dominik.

WWE team The Creed Brothers are challenging for gold at the November 28 taping in Puebla. It will be Psycho Clown & Pagano vs. Julius & Brutus Creed for the AAA Tag Team titles.
