Rey Mysterio voices intro for AAA Heroes Inmortales XVII
AAA presents Heroes Inmortales XVII tonight in Mexico City.
The event has been held annually since the death of Antonio Pena in 2006. Mysterio pays tribute to Pena’s legacy in the event’s opening video.
Rey says (translated):
“Antonio Pena was more than a visionary. He was a creator. A pioneer. A man who dared to redefine what lucha libre could be.”
“Today, the entire AAA roster carries his legacy forward with the same passion, the same vision, and the same love for the art of lucha libre. From the arenas of Mexico to fans all over the world, the spirit of Antonio Pena lives on.”

Tonight’s show takes place at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City. Rey’s son Dominik will defend the AAA Mega Championship against Dragon Lee.
