Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas set for WWE SmackDown

Rey Mysterio and Andrade “Cien” Almas are set to have their second televised singles match in WWE.

WWE has announced Mysterio vs. Almas for Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown. The matchup was set up on this week’s show, with Almas teaming with Samoa Joe and defeating Mysterio & Mustafa Ali. Almas pinned Mysterio after countering the 619 and then hitting a gutbuster and the hammerlock DDT.

Mysterio and Almas also faced each other on the November 6, 2018 edition of SmackDown, with Mysterio defeating Almas and getting a spot on SmackDown’s men’s division team for Survivor Series.

Mysterio and Almas have both already been announced as entrants for this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match. Both were surprise participants in last year’s Rumble. Mysterio made his return to WWE in the match, and Almas appeared in it during his reign as NXT Champion.

Tuesday’s SmackDown is being held at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
