Rey Mysterio vs. Damian Priest announced for WWE Raw
Rey Mysterio will face Damian Priest on the April 24 WWE Raw.
Mysterio vs. Priest was added to Monday’s lineup in an announcement during Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode. In the SmackDown opener, Mysterio and Santos Escobar dropped a tag team bout to Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day.
After the contest, Priest cut a promo on Backlash host Bad Bunny, whose return is the only other item advertised for Monday’s Raw.
In Bad Bunny’s most recent WWE appearance on the Raw after WrestleMania, Priest put Bunny through a table at ringside.
Bunny has not been advertised as wrestling at the May 6 Backlash event in Puerto Rico, but his in-ring involvement has been heavily teased.
Mysterio and Priest last squared off in a singles match on the March 27 Raw, a bout that Mysterio won by disqualification.
After defeating his son Dominik at WrestleMania 39, Mysterio has dropped his last five matches, including singles losses to Austin Theory, Finn Balor, and Solo Sikoa.
