Rhea Ripley to face Bianca Belair on next week’s NXT

Two top contenders in the NXT women’s division are set to face off next week.

Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair has been announced for NXT next Wednesday (October 23). Ripley and Belair both won matches last week and cut promos declaring that they want the next shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.

Ripley defeated Aliyah last Wednesday, while Belair defeated Dakota Kai. Belair responded to Ripley’s promo by saying that anyone who wants the next shot at Shayna Baszler is going to have to go through her.

Ripley confronted Io Shirai on tonight’s NXT after Shirai said she’s going to be Baszler’s next challenger.

Tegan Nox defeated Taynara Conti on tonight’s show. Baszler then interrupted an interview with Nox after the match. She insulted Nox and Kai and told Nox she hasn’t earned a title shot.

On next week’s NXT, Roderick Strong will defend his North American Championship against Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic in a triple threat match. A Finn Balor video also aired tonight and teased that Balor will be on next week’s episode.
