Ric Flair: ‘Surgery coming up. Keep me in your prayers’

Ric Flair says he’s going in for surgery.

Flair posted to X on Monday, “Surgery Coming Up. Keep Me In Your Prayers. It’s All Fragile.”

He also included two photos: a close-up of his forehead and another showing a large surgical incision on his abdomen. Flair previously underwent major abdominal surgery in 2017, but it’s unclear if the posted photo is related to that procedure.

Two weeks ago, Flair canceled an appearance after having been diagnosed with melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer.

He wrote on X:

“I Have Health Issues, That I Need To Attend To. As I Have Procrastinated Putting My Health First In The Past. Melanoma, I Have Found Out, Is Nothing To Play With.”

Flair last appeared on AEW programming during the May 17 episode of Collision. The show featured a special tribute to Steve “Mongo” McMichael, who passed away on April 23 after battling ALS for six years.
