Ric Flair undergoes surgery, doctors say it was a success

Ric Flair has undergone his surgery that was scheduled for today.

Wendy Barlow, Flair’s wife, told TMZ that doctors said the surgery was a success. Barlow also thanked everyone for the prayers and support they’ve sent during this difficult time.

Dave Meltzer reported that the surgery Flair was scheduled to have was a heart procedure. It was postponed from this past Friday to today in order to address some complications that needed to be taken care of first.

Before the surgery was done, TMZ wrote that Flair was in good spirits, had been talking to friends on the phone, and was confident he’d be okay after having the procedure.

Though the surgery was a success, Flair won’t be able to make the trip to Las Vegas and appear at Starrcast II this weekend. “The Roast of Ric Flair” was supposed to take place at Caesars Palace on Friday night and air live on pay-per-view.
