Ricochet returns to action at WWE house show

Over the weekend, Ricochet returned to action for the first time in nearly a month.

Ricochet wrestled at WWE’s house show in Bangor, Maine on Saturday night, defeating Bronson Reed. Ricochet won with a schoolboy pin after avoiding a senton from Reed. It was Ricochet’s first match since the November 6 episode of Raw.

Ricochet was placed into WWE’s concussion protocol after competing in a fatal four-way match on that Raw episode. After Ricochet’s head hit the mat earlier in the match, there was a botched finish where Ricochet kicked out of a pin attempt by Ivar when he wasn’t supposed to. The match was originally supposed to end in a double pin, but it instead ended with The Miz pinning Reed.

“Ricochet is believed to have had a concussion,” Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter last month. “He had no memory of anything that happened in much of the match, but other than that, was said to be feeling fine.”

The fatal four-way match between Ricochet, Miz, Reed, and Ivar was for an Intercontinental title shot against Gunther at Survivor Series. At the PLE, Gunther defeated Miz to retain the IC title.
