The Rock endorses Biden/Harris ticket for U.S. presidency

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson posted a seven minute video Sunday morning where he endorsed the Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ticket for the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.

The former WWE star and Hollywood power player said he is a registered independent with centrist ideologies, but that after meeting with them, he feels they are the best choice to lead the country. He did not say whether he met with incumbent Donald Trump but in an impassioned eight minute video posted in June, Johnson didn’t have kind words for Trump and his leadership.

He said he has never publicly endorsed political candidates in the past.

Johnson, who has joked in the past about running for president this year, referenced a meeting he had with Biden and Harris when he was thinking about his decision and used a quote from his father, Rocky, about how respect is earned, saying he liked their answer to his question of how they will earn the respect of the American people if elected.
