Roman Reigns-Finn Balor contract signing set for WWE SmackDown

The build to SummerSlam will continue with a contract signing on tonight’s episode of SmackDown.

WWE has announced that Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Finn Balor will take part in a contract signing on SmackDown tonight. WWE is alleging that the contract signing will be to make a Universal Championship match between Reigns and Balor official for SummerSlam.

The main event segment of last week’s SmackDown saw Reigns decline John Cena’s challenge for a title match at SummerSlam. Balor then came out to the ring and asked if Reigns was interested in a challenge from him. After the crowd chanted “Roman’s scared,” Reigns accepted Balor’s challenge.

Cena is advertised for tonight’s SmackDown. WWE has yet to announce if he’ll be appearing on television.

Jimmy Uso vs. Rey Mysterio is also set for tonight’s SmackDown. At Money in the Bank earlier this month, The Usos defeated Rey & Dominik Mysterio to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. Jimmy defeated Dominik in a singles match on SmackDown last Friday.
