Ric Flair’s removal from Roots of Fight now makes more sense.

The clothing company posted a teaser today hyping that it will soon be announcing a deal with WWE. Roots of Fight already offers merchandise based on WWE stars CM Punk and Rey Mysterio and legends like Bret Hart and Randy Savage. Flair — who is under contract with AEW — also had a merchandise deal with the brand but found out this week that he can no longer be associated with them.

Flair announced the removal on Tuesday, claiming that WWE was trying to “destroy” his legacy by not letting him be part of Roots of Fight. But he quickly reversed course, posting a video the following day where he thanked Roots of Fight for letting him represent the brand while they were partners. Flair said he understood it was a business decision and noted that he’s “not even mad” at WWE anymore.

Roots of Fight sells clothing that honors legends in boxing, pro wrestling, and across all of sports.

Through Fanatics, WWE also has partnerships with rapper Drake’s OVO brand and Erin Andrews’ women’s clothing company WEAR.
