Samoa Joe returning to WWE Raw commentary team

Samoa Joe is reportedly returning to the announcing booth.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reported this afternoon that Samoa Joe is at tonight’s Raw tapings and will return for at least one of the two shows that will be taped tonight.

Joe was a part of the Raw commentary team for a brief time last year while recovering from a broken thumb. He returned to in-ring action after being attacked by Seth Rollins and AOP, which paired him with Kevin Owens briefly.

However, Joe suffered a concussion during a USA Network commercial shoot and has been out of action since. Additionally, WWE announced on February 24 that Joe had been suspended for 30 days for violating their Wellness Policy.

After initially intending to air all shows live, WWE has gone back to taping. Two episodes of SmackDown were taped on Saturday. Two episodes of Raw will be taped tonight, while two episodes of NXT will tape Wednesday.
