Scott Stanford announces WWE departure

One of WWE’s longest-tenured on-air personalities is departing the company.

Scott Stanford, who first joined WWE in 2009, announced today that his run with the promotion has come to an end. He hosted various programming for WWE over the past 15 years and is best known as the longtime host of the WWE Network/Peacock series “This Week in WWE.”

While announcing his departure, Stanford did not give a reason for his exit but said he has nothing but love for WWE and hopes to make it back to the company someday.

Stanford has decades of experience as a news and sports anchor in New York City in addition to his WWE work.

Earlier in his WWE run, Stanford did commentary for the now-defunct show WWE Superstars.

Stanford and Megan Morant were the hosts of This Week in WWE prior to Stanford’s exit from the company.
