Seth Rollins gives update on WWE return timeline

Seth Rollins expects to be out of action for several months due to his shoulder injury.

Rollins suffered the injury at WWE Crown Jewel: Perth this month and was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship. He’s already undergone surgery to repair the issue — and Rollins had his arm in a sling while appearing on the Halloween edition of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. While giving a comedic rant, he said he will be out of action for six months.

“I wish, I wish I could rip this thing off,” Rollins said about the sling. “But I’m out, guy. I’m out of action for six months. My World Championship is going to be worn by some schmuck, either Jey Uso or CM Punk. It’s awful. It really is the Halloween scaries, guys.”

Uso and Punk are facing off at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion. It was originally supposed to be Punk challenging Rollins for the title before Rollins’ injury forced a change in plans. To earn his spot in the vacant title match, Uso won a battle royal on the October 20 episode of Raw.

When Rollins returns — along with potentially going after the World Heavyweight Championship again — he’ll have unfinished business with his former faction The Vision. WWE wrote Rollins off television in an angle where Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed betrayed their former leader and laid him out.

Rollins is a regular guest host on Good Morning Football. A huge Chicago Bears fan, he appeared on today’s show wearing a bear costume and Steve “Mongo” McMichael jersey.
