Sol Ruca says she’s hoping to be cleared to return in time for NXT Deadline.

Ruca announced on last week’s edition of NXT that she would not be cleared for Halloween Havoc, appearing on the show with her leg in a brace. This led to her tag team partner Zaria defending Ruca’s NXT Women’s North American title on Saturday, dropping it to Blake Monroe.

On Tuesday, Ruca posted to her Instagram that she is hoping to be cleared in time to return for NXT Deadline on December 6, as tickets for that event go on sale tomorrow. She is also featured on the official poster for the event.

Ruca posted clips of her wrestling in last year’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline along with the caption:

Throwback to one of my fav matches
I may not be cleared just yet but I’m doing everything in my power to be at NXT Deadline.
Dec. 6th San Antonio TX be there or be ⬛

The legitimacy of Ruca’s injury is not clear. Our own Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer discussed whether Ruca’s injury is storyline on last Thursday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio:

“Maybe she’s got a serious injury, I don’t know. But I watched this segment and I didn’t buy it,” Alvarez said.

“I wasn’t that convinced either. It felt way too storyline,” Meltzer added.
