Stephanie Vaquer injury-free ahead of WWE WrestleMania 42
Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is feeling close to 100 percent heading into WrestleMania 42.
Earlier this year, Vaquer dealt with a minor ankle injury that impacted her WWE schedule. She has now recovered from that issue, telling Insight with Chris Van Vliet that, while every wrestler has some things they’re dealing with, she is injury-free at the moment.
“No,” Vaquer responded when asked if anything on her body hurts right now. “I mean, I have many scars and that hurts sometime. But if you talk about injuries, no, I’m good. I feel like after 12 years of career, of course, my body hurts, so I need to recover. But I’m not have really injuries right now. So maybe I’m not 100 percent for WrestleMania. I think I need to recover many little things in my body, but I’m not have injury, so I’m good.”
Vaquer answered affirmatively when Van Vliet asked if she’s feeling 98-99 percent. With how non-stop WWE is, it can be hard to find the time to recover. But she’s very passionate about her job and has focused on things like sleep, diet, training, and staying close with her family to stay physically and mentally well.
In her WrestleMania debut, Vaquer is defending the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan. Their match will be part of the card for night one of WrestleMania 42 this Saturday.
