Stephanie Vaquer reacts to Naomi’s pregnancy, canceled WWE title match

Stephanie Vaquer — who was scheduled to be Naomi’s next challenger — is congratulating the former Women’s World Champion on her recent big announcement.
A Women’s World Championship match between Naomi and Vaquer was scheduled to take place at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31, but those plans are now off with Naomi revealing that she and Jimmy Uso are expecting their first child together. Naomi vacated the Women’s World Championship on Raw earlier this week, with WWE yet to announce how a new champion will be determined.
“I didn’t tell you before because you were surely overwhelmed with emotions, but I want to congratulate you and Jimmy on the future superstar that’s on the way,” Vaquer tweeted on Friday. “Someday I’ll tell your baby how they helped you escape from me and prevented ‘Stephanie Velcro’ from winning the title in Paris.
“Enjoy this new chapter, I know you’re going to be a great mom, Chiquita. I’m already ready for Paris and I’ll be here, waiting for you whenever you decide to come back.”
Naomi then responded to Vaquer:
Vaquer had earned the Women’s World Championship shot by winning a battle royal at WWE Evolution this July. At that PLE, Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase during the IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley main event to win the Women’s World Championship.
The only title defense Naomi made during her reign was in a triple threat against SKY and Ripley at SummerSlam. She was set to defend against SKY in a singles match on the August 11 episode of Raw before being pulled from the bout due to her pregnancy.
Naomi and Jimmy Uso have been married for more than a decade, with Naomi also being a stepmother to Uso’s first two children.
