Stephanie Vaquer to appear at WWE house shows in Mexico

Stephanie Vaquer is already set to make her first WWE appearances.

Just days after her signing was confirmed, WWE has announced that Vaquer will be appearing live at their house shows in Mexico this weekend. The company will be in Mexico City this Saturday (July 13) and Monterrey on Sunday (July 14) for live events.

Vaquer was originally supposed to be in action at NJPW & CMLL’s Fantasticamania USA show on Saturday. But CMLL & NJPW issued a statement earlier this week announcing that Vaquer had departed both promotions and would no longer be appearing in San Jose, California for Fantasticamania.

With her departure, Vaquer was stripped of both the CMLL World Women’s Championship and World Women’s Tag Team Championship.

WWE announced Vaquer’s signing on Wednesday with Shawn Michaels sending out a tweet welcoming her to NXT.

Vaquer was born in Chile and started her career in the country before becoming a star in Mexico. She drew acclaim from audiences in the United States with standout performances against Mercedes Mone for NJPW in 2023 and at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last month.

Cody Rhodes vs. Santos Escobar for the Undisputed WWE Championship is headlining the weekend house shows in Mexico.
