Tag team rivalry to be renewed on next WWE Raw

After years of waiting, WWE is finally set to renew this iconic tag-team rivalry between The Usos and The New Day.

Earlier this week on Raw, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso officially reunited. Taking a break from his singles run, Jey confirmed his return to tag-team action and announced that the brothers are once again hunting for championship gold.

Shortly after the reunion, WWE announced that The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) will face the New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) on the December 15th episode of WWE Raw.

“Jey and Jimmy Uso have reunited with their focus firmly on the World Tag Team Title. After brawling with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on Monday, The Usos will renew their epic rivalry with The New Day.”

The Usos and The New Day share a storied history, having produced some of the most acclaimed tag-team matches in modern WWE. Their last encounter occurred on November 11, 2022, when The Usos retained their tag titles against Kingston and Woods.

The above match announcement comes after fans witnessed The Usos put the tag-team division on notice and re-enter the tag-team picture this past week on Raw. The duo announced their intentions in front of The New Day, AJ Styles & Dragon Lee.

Interestingly, The Usos have not held tag team gold in WWE since WrestleMania 39, where they dropped the belts to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in the main event of the show. Jey Uso did briefly win the championships with Cody Rhodes in 2023, but the reign was short-lived.
