Tiffany Stratton says Jade Cargill Instagram post was an ‘honest mistake’

For the first time, Tiffany Stratton has addressed a since-deleted Instagram post that drew backlash from fans.

Stratton briefly shared a post to her Instagram stories this May that included video of her giving Jade Cargill a forearm strike during a match and knocking her off the apron. It also showed a close-up of Bianca Belair’s reaction to the forearm strike. Over the video, someone put in an audio clip of a person saying “Black b*tch.” The video was reposted by Stratton but not made by her. She included several crying while laughing emojis while sharing the post.

While speaking with Adrian Hernandez ahead of Money in the Bank, Stratton was asked if the post was a situation where she didn’t hear the audio and just clicked repost without listening to it.

“Yup, it was an honest mistake,” Stratton responded. “I didn’t hear the audio, and I had it up for maybe 20 seconds and I deleted it instantly as soon as I heard the audio. It was an honest mistake.”

Stratton will be one of the participants in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match this Saturday. IYO SKY, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria, Naomi, and Zoey Stark are also set to compete in the match.
