Title match added to WWE SummerSlam following SmackDown
A match for the United States title is now set for SummerSlam.
Trick Williams will face Baron Corbin following an angle that was posted on social media. Williams was exiting the ring following the main event of Friday’s SmackDown when suddenly Baron Corbin jumped him from the ring area. Corbin posted Williams then continued to attack him in the ring.
Corbin left, but Williams recovered and called him a bald-headed bum. He issued the challenge for SummerSlam, with Corbin verbally accepting the match and telling Williams he would be taking the title from him.
After months of speculation, Corbin returned to WWE earlier this month, attacking both Carmelo Hayes and Williams as they were wrestling, laying both out with the End of Days.
