Triple H praises AJ Lee’s WWE return: ‘As charismatic as ever’

Triple H says AJ Lee “hasn’t missed a beat.”

During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, WWE’s Chief Content Officer addressed Lee’s return, saying:

“It’s funny, she’s been out 10 years and hasn’t missed a beat. Just right in there as charismatic as ever. Fans are loving it so it’s going to be great.”

Triple H also addressed Lee’s upcoming match at Wrestlepalooza teaming with CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Triple H called it the biggest mixed tag they’ve done since he and Stephanie McMahon teamed up against Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34.

“On a high level like this, it’s been a while,” he said after being asked when WWE’s last high-profile mixed tag was.

“There’s a part of me that wants to say the biggest and the last really big high-profile mixed tag we did was myself and Steph, Kurt and Ronda at WrestleMania.”

Also during the interview, Triple H revealed that he did not attend this week’s Raw as he was recording an episode of the Kill Tony podcast on Monday night.

“To be honest, I was not there, I haven’t had a chance to watch the show yet. I did Kill Tony last night,” he said when asked why the Stephanie Vaquer/IYO Sky contract signing didn’t take place.
