Triple H reveals WWE UK Championship tournament details

While information about the shows is still fairly sparse, we now have a better idea of what WWE’s tournament in the United Kingdom this summer will look like.

Triple H spoke to media members after NXT TakeOver: New Orleans on Saturday and revealed that the first of the two shows will feature a tournament to decide a challenger for the United Kingdom Championship. The winner of that will get their title shot on night two. Triple H also said that there will be a “mixture of NXT talent” on the second show.

Royal Albert Hall in London, England will host the shows on June 18th and 19th. Pete Dunne currently holds WWE’s UK title.

Before losing it to Dunne later in the year, Tyler Bate became the UK Champion by winning WWE’s inaugural United Kingdom Championship tournament in January 2017. That took place in Blackpool across two days and aired live on the WWE Network.
