Two additional wrestlers qualify for WWE Elimination Chamber
More wrestlers are heading to the Elimination Chamber in Chicago.
Cody Rhodes emerged victorious on Friday, earning his spot in the Chamber match on February 28. The finish of the match had Drew McIntyre once again interfering, taking out Jacob Fatu with the claymore kick and powerbombing him through a table. McIntyre then took out Rhodes with a claymore and put Sami Zayn on top of Rhodes. Despite the odds Rhodes kicked out, angering McIntyre who re-entered the ring and continued his attack on Rhodes.
Zayn recovered and went for the helluva kick but Rhodes dodged, causing Zayn to strike McIntyre. The brief opening allowed Rhodes to strike with the crossroads for the victory.
In another qualifying match earlier in the show, Alexa Bliss defeated Zelina and Giulia to advance to the women’s Elimination Chamber. Zelina had dumped Giulia out of the ring but as she went for a running dive, Bliss recovered and hit Sister Abigail for the win.
Qualifying matches continue this coming Monday and on next week’s SmackDown. On Raw, Asuka will battle Nattie and Bayley while Dominik Mysterio will take on Gunther and Je’Von Evans. Next Friday will see Carmelo Hayes take on former friend Trick Williams and Damien Priest while Nia Jax will battle Charlotte Flair and Kiana James.
