Two matches set for WWE Raw, Asuka & Charlotte to open show

WWE has announced two matches for tonight’s post-TLC edition of Raw.

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will team with Sheamus & Keith Lee in a six-man street fight against AJ Styles, The Miz & John Morrison on tonight’s Raw. Jeff Hardy & Matt Riddle will also face The Hurt Business (United States Champion Bobby Lashley & MVP) in a tag team match on tonight’s show.

McIntyre retained his WWE Championship against Styles and The Miz in a triple threat tables, ladders, and chairs match at last night’s TLC pay-per-view. The match began as McIntyre vs. Styles but became a triple threat when Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank contract during the match.

After McIntyre press slammed Styles from the ring through a table on the outside during last night’s WWE Championship match, The Miz and Morrison ran down and Miz powerbombed McIntyre through a table. But Styles’ associate Omos then stopped Miz from climbing a ladder and put Miz through a table. McIntyre, Styles, and Miz all recovered and McIntyre got the win after knocking over a ladder that Styles and Miz were on and laying out Miz with a Claymore.

Styles posted a tweet today blaming Miz for his loss: “Went to bed last night with a lot of bumps, bruises, cuts (and no @WWE Championship) … but I mean it when I say this about last night at #WWETLC This is all Miz’s fault.”

Miz & Morrison defeated Lee in a two-on-one handicap match on Raw last Monday. Styles defeated Sheamus on last week’s Raw and then attacked him with a steel chair.

Riddle defeated MVP in a singles match on Raw last week. Earlier in the show, The Hurt Business (Lashley, Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin) had defeated Hardy & The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) in a six-man tag match. Alexander & Benjamin won the Raw Tag Team titles from The New Day at TLC.

WWE has also announced that new Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Charlotte Flair will kick off tonight’s show. Charlotte returned as Asuka’s partner for last night’s Women’s Tag Team title match against Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax. Plus, Raw will follow up on Randy Orton defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in their Firefly Inferno match at TLC.
