Two grudge matches will determine the final participants for this year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

WWE has announced that the final two men’s Money in the Bank qualifying matches will take place on SmackDown next Friday. The qualifying matches are Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin.

The winners will join Ricochet, John Morrison, Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Big E, and Kevin Owens in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

In storyline, Rollins wanted to challenge for Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship at Money in the Bank. But Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville instead gave the title shot to Edge. Rollins was told by Pearce and Deville on SmackDown tonight that he’ll be facing Cesaro in a Money in the Bank qualifying match next Friday.

Money in the Bank is being held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday, July 18. Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and Zelina Vega are the first six wrestlers announced for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
