Two wrestlers advance to WWE Last Time is Now tournament quarterfinals

Two more wrestlers have advanced to the quarterfinals of The Last Time is Now tournament to decide John Cena’s final WWE opponent.

Gunther and Solo Sikoa won their opening round matches on Monday’s WWE Raw from Madison Square Garden in New York City to move on to the quarterfinals round.

Sikoa defeated the returning Dolph Ziggler in his match, while Gunther was victorious over NXT talent Je’Von Evans.

WWE also came close to revealing a bracket for the Last Time is Now tournament for the first time, announcing the quarterfinals bouts set for next week’s Raw. Gunther will face the winner of Bronson Reed vs. Carmelo Hayes set for this Friday’s SmackDown, while Sikoa will take on the winner of Penta vs. Finn Balor also set for SmackDown.

The remaining quarterfinalists are LA Knight, Jey Uso, Sheamus, and Rusev, with two quarterfinals bouts to made out of that foursome presumably for the Friday, November 28 SmackDown.

The eventual tournament winner faces Cena in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

WWE SmackDown, Friday, November 21 —

  • First round: Penta vs. Finn Balor
  • First round: Bronson Reed vs. Carmelo Hayes

WWE Raw, Monday, November 24 —

  • Quarterfinals: Gunther vs. Reed/Hayes winner
  • Quarterfinals: Solo Sikoa vs. Penta/Balor winner

WWE SmackDown, Friday, November 28 —

  • Two quarterfinals matches featuring LA Knight, Jey Uso, Sheamus, Rusev
