UK title match set for pre-NXT TakeOver TV tapings
A WWE United Kingdom Championship match is set for Saturday’s pre-TakeOver television tapings.
During tonight’s episode of NXT, it was announced that Pete Dunne will defend his United Kingdom title against Zack Gibson at the Barclays Center before TakeOver: Brooklyn IV. The match will then air on next week’s NXT.
Dunne successfully defended his title against Gibson on night two of WWE’s UK shows at Royal Albert Hall in June. That was after Gibson won the United Kingdom Championship tournament on night one
The TakeOver: Brooklyn main card will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday. Here’s the lineup for the show:
- NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa defending against Johnny Gargano in a last man standing match
- NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler defending against Kairi Sane
- NXT North American Champion Adam Cole defending against Ricochet
- NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong defending against Tyler Bate & Trent Seven
- Velveteen Dream vs. EC3
