United States title match and more added to WWE SmackDown lineup
Nick Aldis has made some announcements regarding SmackDown tonight.
The newly reinstated SmackDown General Manager has announced a SummerSlam rematch, with Baron Corbin defending the United States Championship against Trick Williams.
Aldis announced the news in a video on Friday, saying:
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It is your newly reinstated SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, and I have some breaking news.
Tonight, live on SmackDown, we have a huge SummerSlam rematch. No, not that one.
Baron Corbin, the new United States Champion, will defend that championship against the former champion, Trick Williams. And that happens tonight, live on SmackDown.”
WWE has also announced that Randy Orton will return to SmackDown tonight following his interference in the Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk match at SummerSlam.
