An update is available regarding when CM Punk is expected back on WWE programming.

Punk has been absent from the company’s TV since a segment with Cody Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania 42.

On Thursday, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that one source is stating that “signs point” to Punk being back on or before the July 6 Raw, which is scheduled for the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, just outside Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

The report noted that while the July 6 date has not been confirmed, the expectation is that Punk’s return to WWE programming is not far away. Punk is also reportedly scheduled to play a significant role at SummerSlam.

Punk has not wrestled for WWE since dropping the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42.

Last month, a report from False Finish stated that Punk’s absence from WWE following WrestleMania 42 was due to creative plans having shifted, with Gunther moving to SmackDown and Jacob Fatu to WWE Raw.
