WWE reveals first details on AAA TripleMania 34

An update is available on how ticket sales are going for AAA TripleMania and CMLL’s 92nd Anniversary show.

WWE SmackDown on September 11, TripleMania 34 Night 2 on September 13, and WWE Raw on September 14 will all take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

The following week, CMLL will hold its 92nd Anniversary show at Arena Mexico on September 18.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on ticket sales for the shows in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Meltzer wrote:

“The CMLL show was close to a first day sellout, so as expected, the WWE doesn’t seem to have hurt them and they draw from largely different audiences. We don’t have anything on the WWE shows but I can’t imagine them not doing well.”

Meltzer also noted that tickets to the CMLL Anniversary show ranged from $22 to $260.

Regarding the AAA TripleMania 34 Night 2 show on September 13, Meltzer wrote that individual tickets have sold out, but others are available as part of ticket packages for all three WWE/AAA events at Arena CDMX that week.

Meltzer wrote:

“TripleMania started out well and that was the show that would be hurt the most by two WWE shows in the market the same weekend, but with Dominik vs. Grande Americano as the likely main event for the title, I expect it’ll be fine. TripleMania tickets themselves are sold out but a lot were not put on sale individually as they held back lots of tickets to get people to buy all three shows together. There are plenty of those tickets still available.”

Metlzer also addressed the September 11 AAA TripleMania 34 night one show in Las Vegas.

“The 9/11 TripleMania show in Las Vegas at the Luxor sold out immediately with 1,669 tickets,” Meltzer wrote, also noting that ticket “prices ranged from $115 to $730 as compared to $38 to $556 for the Mexico City show.”
