Update on timeline for Liv Morgan’s WWE return

She still has a good amount of time left before she’s back in the ring, but a WrestleMania season return is looking possible for Liv Morgan.
The WWE star has been out of action since suffering a dislocated shoulder against Kairi Sane on the June 16 episode of Raw. With the injury requiring surgery, it forced Morgan out of action and derailed WWE’s plans for Evolution — where Morgan was set to face Nikki Bella in some form.
Morgan underwent shoulder surgery at the end of June, and PWInsider reports that she was slated for a new evaluation this week. The report says the internal hope within WWE is that Morgan will be able to return to action in the beginning of 2026 as long as things remain on schedule.
The 2026 Royal Rumble is set to be held in Saudi Arabia in January, with the exact date still to be announced.
Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time of Morgan’s injury. Roxanne Perez filled in for Morgan until dropping the titles to Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam.
A member of Judgment Day, Morgan is one of the top stars in the WWE women’s division. She’s had two singles Women’s Championship reigns during her career.
