Update on WWE not giving out comps for WrestleMania 42
Bryan Alvarez says WWE is still not giving out comps to WrestleMania.
Despite an angle on WWE SmackDown on Friday referencing the show’s lower than expected ticket sales, WWE is continuing to claim that no free tickets will be given out.
Alvarez wrote to his subscribers on X:
“WWE still claiming at least to a lot of people that there are no comps this year even though they’re making fun of their own low attendance on Smackdown.”
In late 2024, reports surfaced that it had become more difficult for talent to obtain free tickets to shows for friends or family members. Earlier this year, Rikishi said that despite having three kids on the main roster and being under a WWE legends deal, he is not able to get comped tickets to shows.
“You would think that family members and friends, close friends, you still have those comp tickets, but there is no comp tickets,” Rikishi said. “I can probably try to get like a [discount] but what’s a discount nowadays, like, $1,000 a ticket? That’s still, for a family of five and a man working 9 to 5 through the whole week, and the whole family loves wrestling, it’s very difficult to be able to take a family to events.”
