The New Day arrived on SmackDown tonight, and they're already getting a tag team title shot at Money in the Bank.
Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods interrupted The Usos before announcing that Shane McMahon has granted them a Tag Team Championship match at the pay-per-view. The appearance was the first time that The New Day has been on SmackDown since switching brands in the roster shakeup.
Kingston underwent ankle surgery in April and the group has been out of action since. They appeared on Talking Smack last Tuesday after videos hyping their return had aired for several weeks.
Money in the Bank will take place on June 18th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The updated card for the show is:
- WWE Champion Jinder Mahal defending against Randy Orton
- AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Money in the Bank ladder match
- SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos defending against The New Day
