VIDEO: WWE reveals ThunderDome set

Ahead of it debuting on SmackDown tonight, WWE has revealed a look at their ThunderDome set:

WWE hyped that the ThunderDome viewing experience features a “state-of-the-art set, video boards, pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics, and drone cameras.” It will also “virtually bring fans into the arena via live video on massive LED boards, in conjunction with The Famous Group and its proprietary technology, for every Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and WWE pay-per-view event. Starting tonight.”

A test of the ThunderDome with virtual fans participating was done on Thursday.

The ThunderDome will be part of WWE’s residency at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The deal with the city of Orlando to use the venue currently runs through October with no in-person fans in attendance.

An appearance by Vince McMahon will kick off tonight’s SmackDown. The show will also feature AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental title, Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro vs. The Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) for the SmackDown Tag Team titles, Big E vs. Sheamus, and the final build to Sunday’s SummerSlam PPV.
