WWE is bringing in professional help for Tuesday's "rap-off" between The Usos and The New Day.
After Wale announced the appearance on Twitter, the company officially confirmed that he will be hosting and officiating Tuesday's rap battle on SmackDown. The segment was set up last week after it was revealed that The New Day would again be challenging for The Usos' tag titles at Battleground on July 23rd.
In addition to being a rapper, Wale is a huge pro wrestling fan (even appearing on an episode of Wrestling Observer Live earlier this year) and has hosted his "WaleMania" event with MLW Radio during WrestleMania weekend every year since 2015.
Even with the episode being on the Fourth of July, WWE has loaded up this Tuesday's SmackDown. John Cena returning to WWE television as a "free agent" has been hyped for weeks, Naomi will defend her Women's Championship against Lana in their third title match, the rap battle will take place, and there will be a battle royal to determine who will challenge for Kevin Owens' United States Championship at Battleground.
