Why Roman Reigns was pulled from June WWE dates

Roman Reigns

There’s a simple reason why Roman Reigns isn’t booked for June WWE events.

People online noticed on Saturday that Reigns was no longer advertised for upcoming Raw dates, some of which took place internationally. In Sunday’s Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted that Reigns was removed from those dates because he is not scheduled to be on WWE’s next PLE, Crown Jewel, which takes place in Saudi Arabia on June 27, Night of Champions.

“Regarding Roman Reigns being pulled from June TV dates that were announced, the reason we were told is that he’s not going to be on the Saudi Arabia PPV and thus there was no reason to do the TV’s building that show,” he wrote. “If he loses the title next week, of course that would be a change and there will be more to the story. If he retains, that’s probably all it is. But Reigns is no longer scheduled for any television in June. “

The next World Heavyweight title match

Reigns is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight title against Jacob Fatu at Backlash, which takes place this coming Saturday in Tampa, Florida. He and Fatu will sign their contract on Raw, the final show before the PLE.
